Zep is an established industry leader in producing and distributing high-quality maintenance and cleaning solutions across diverse markets, such as retail, food & beverage, industrial & institutional, and vehicle care. I developed a sophisticated CSV manipulation tool to streamline their inventory management and facilitate their migration to Shopify. This tool was instrumental in migrating data from Zep’s legacy systems, ensuring that their vast array of product information was accurately and efficiently mapped to Shopify's platform requirements. Leveraging Python, I crafted the tool’s command-line interface (CLI) to offer powerful, scriptable manipulation and enable automated processing of large datasets with precision. I also developed a graphical user interface (GUI) using React, allowing non-technical team members to interact with the tool easily. This dual approach not only maximized adaptability and usability across different user preferences but also significantly reduced the time and potential errors in managing and migrating inventory data.
