Zep is an established industry leader in producing and distributing high-quality maintenance and cleaning solutions across diverse markets, such as retail, food & beverage, industrial & institutional, and vehicle care. I engineered a suite of tools to enhance the management and integration of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for over 2,500 SKUs. These critical documents are pivotal for ensuring compliance and providing essential safety information across Zep’s product listings. I leveraged Python to create a command-line interface (CLI) designed to efficiently process and match SDS/TDS documents with the appropriate products on Shopify. This involved developing a search algorithm capable of parsing through data sheets to identify and extract key information. The automation of this matching process significantly boosted operational efficiency, transforming a manual and error-prone task into a streamlined, reliable system.
